Enviromate Programmable Thermostat Concept

This project involved creating the name, brand, corporate materials, and the product.  For me, the most interesting and important part of the project was learning methods for testing ideas with users.  Knowing what questions to ask and what to look/listen for in responses are more subtle than you’d think.  The process started with some foam board and paper models, but also involved flowcharts, scenarios, profiles, and finally virtual prototypes where I could watch a user go through a scenario on the computer.  Check out the final virtual thermostat!

    Hello Mr Kempf,

Allan McKenzie recommended you to me. What I am wanting to do is develop a prototype telematics device for controlling automobile usage and usage parameters – kind of a breathalyzer / gps / cell phone / remote ignition lock which would be controlled remotely by logging into the home website via Internet.

I was curious as to whether you might be able to design such a device?

    Thank you,

    David Streett
